UK City of Culture 2013 Launch ConcertFebruary 21 2013
BBC Broadcast celebration concert live from Ebrington Square
I had the honor in January of being asked to arrange for choir and orchestra Phil Coulter’s specially written finale to the launch concert of Derry/Londonderry’s year as UK City of Culture 2013, broadcast live on BBC TV and Radio. Acts that performed on the night included The Undertones, Snow Patrol, Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle, Codetta, Glee’s Damian Mc Ginty, The Priests, Neil Hannon, Dana, Paul Brady, Mairead Carlin, Best Boy Grip and The Wonder Villains topped and tailed by and emotional return to Phil Coulter’s home town. A great atmosphere in the city that night and my thanks go to the truly excellent Codetta Choir and their musical director Donal Doherty, the band and orchestra and my old friend, musical director Frank Gallagher for their great work and energy. New Short Film ScoreSeptember 26 2012
Glad to report I’ve just finished work on the original score for director Jane Mc Gee’s new short film.
The film is called ‘A Cake for Mabel’ which will be screened in London before Christmas and released early 2013. Here is a poster for now.

Northern Irish favourites ‘Farriers’ played to a sold out Old Picture House at The Ulster Folk & Transport Museum
They we’re joined by my great friends and colleagues The Arco String Quartet for a special concert of their songs which I had the pleasure to arrange. It was a particularly lovely night to be a part of and my thanks to them for asking me rejig their songs for string quartet. The concert was recorded and filmed and tracks will be released soon.
