A SElection of MY WORK....
- Show Projects:
Kevin Doherty is one of Ireland’s most respected songwriters. We first worked together on Kevin’s critically acclaimed 2010 release “Telegraph”
“undoubtedly one of the albums of the year”The Irish Times, 5
I have once again collaborated as producer/arranger on 2012’s follow up, “Seeing Things”. This album featuring guest appearances from Charley Webb of the Webb Sisters, Lisa O’Neill and the Arco String Quartet.
“Each time Seeing Things ends, I feel I have heard more, and yet it seems much more remains to be revealed…… Serious recognition is overdue” The Irish Times, August 2012
Killling Bono Soundtrack.
I produced, alongside long time collaborator Ciaran Gribbin (Madonna, INXS), the original soundtrack to 2011’s ‘Killing Bono’ released to cinema by Paramount pictures.A dark comedy telling the tru-ish story of (now journalist and author) Neil McCormick’s struggle to grow up in the shadow of his childhood friends, U2.
The film stared Ben Barnes, Robert Sheehan and Pete Postlethwaite. My role as producer involved performing keyboards, programming, arranging, engineering and mix duties. We completed songs and sounds from the stadium anthem to the jokeworthy for the various incarnations of Neil and his brother’s band. The soundtrack album was released on Sony records in the UK. In collaboration with Duke Special I have been orchestral arranger on many recordings and live events over the past few years. As part of the Duke Special team I have overseen recordings and live concerts with The RTE Concert Orchestra and The Ulster Orchestra including 2012’s critically acclaimed “Under The Dark Cloth” project. I also arranged orchestral percussion for the Duke’s latest release “Oh Pioneer!”.
“This is luxurious left-of-centre music (the RTÉ Orchestra provides sumptuous backing) from one of Ireland’s most supremely unconventional talents.” The Irish Times ****
I co-produced the music and original soundtrack album to Philip Ridley’s ‘Heartless’ starring Jim Sturgess with Clémence Poésy and Timothy Spall. The soundtrack featured songs by Ridley and Nick Bicat. The soundtrack is available from Universal records and you can see the trailer by clicking the link
